Letters of recommendation

All your mentors would love to write a good letter of recommendation for you. However, you need to provide the content for them.
By content, I am not saying you should write the letter, which is unethical. I am suggesting that throughout your interactions with the letter writer, you should have demonstrated the qualities and scholarship expected of an ideal researcher. The letter writer will have an easy time writing your letter if you have demonstrated these qualities.
